Indian World Cup Squad - Rahul, Karthik Picked and Rayadu, Pant Dropped
New Delhi: BCCI has announced Indian squad for ICC World Cup 2019 on Monday 15th Apr 2019. Today BCCI selection committee and Indian captain Virat Kohli along with Coach Mr. Ravi Shastri met in Mumbai to announce Indian squad for World Cup 2019 & Selection committee led by MSK Prasad.
India has picked a total of 15 members for the upcoming World cup which is held in England and Wales. The world cup is going to start on 30th May 2019. India will play first match against South Africa on the 5th of June 2019. Total 7 Players retained from Worl Cup 2015.

This 15 members team will be lead by Caption Virat Kohli and Vice caption Rohit Sharma. KL Rahul will act as a backup opening batsman where Dinesh Karthik will play as Back up Wicketkeeper for MS Dhoni. BCCI is looking towards Vijay Shankar as Allrounder or Batsman at no. 4. Among this selection team, there was a tough battle for batting no. 4 position in team India, But fortunately, KL Rahul, Kedar Jadhav, and Vijay Shankar can play this role for team India.
Most of the people accepting Rishabh Pant as Backup Wicket keeper and Batsman and Ambati Rayadu will bat at no. 4 But unfortunately, they didn’t pick up to Pant and Rayadu. Instead of them Dinesh Karthik and Vijay Shankar selected by BCCI.
